How to Make Farmhouse Cinnamon Stick Ornaments

This is perhaps the easiest homemade ornament I have ever made! For this project, you're only gonna need cinnamon sticks, eucalyptus, faux or real and some bells and a little bit of twine. I didn't use real eucalyptus but I would have loved to! I always try to use what I have on hand first, and when a semi recently crashed in my hometown I was able to get some faux greenery and Christmas bells when I helped clean up the wreckage! So all I really had to buy for this was some cinnamon sticks.

Step 1: Assembling the Bell & Eucalyptus

First you're going to thread your bell through the twine. Make sure you leave a long tail on either side of the bell. Make a few knots around the bell so it doesn't go anywhere. I then took my Eucalyptus, and tied it to the bell as well. This is where some hot glue would come in handy! You can hot glue the eucalyptus to the bell so it stays nice and snug.

Step 2: Adding your Cinnamon Sticks

Next you're going to add two cinnamon sticks. I'm going to take the twine and double it up, you notice that I kept a long tail on each side of everything I tied together. I'm gonna grab the cinnamon sticks, I'm gonna wrap the both ends of the twine around it multiple times, until I feel like everything's secure. I'm going to go through the eucalyptus a little bit so that it'll hold that on there extra well. And then once I'm done, I'm gonna wrap one of the tails around and then use it to tie a double knot with the other tail. To make the loop that I'll hang from the ornament from the tree, I'm going to tie a square knot at the very ends.
